— ANNA FRIENDT

Speaker, Artist, Founder & President of REMADE (formerly known as Anchor 13 Studio), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization creating a future of hope, free of trafficking + exploitation. Reaching hearts, sharing hope, and cultivating healing.

SPEAKING

// I’ve been public speaking since 2016, sharing my story of healing and restoration to the hearts of others. In 2017 I founded Anchor 13 Studio, now known as REMADE, a 501(c)(3) anti-trafficking organization. That same year I began creating and leading art healing workshops, helping individuals experience a unique way to encounter God’s love, finding freedom and breakthrough.

It is an honor to encourage others in their own journeys. I am passionate about inspiring others to share their stories, in the way that they are designed and in light of their unique gifts and talents, to make an impact in the lives and world around them. Topics I often speak on and draw from parts of my story, always pointing to hope: adoption, sexual abuse, commercial sexual exploitation, trafficking, racial injustice, healing, creativity, purpose, and our God-given identity. I’ve been featured on Podcasts, been a part of panel conversations on stage and online, and have spoken at various women’s events, anti-trafficking events, and to groups of vulnerable youth.

I have a heart for those who are vulnerable, marginalized, and exploited, and am determined to use my gifts as a way to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

CREATING

// With 10+ years of experience in graphic design, specializing in branding and hand-drawn illustrations, I have cultivated a passion for creating art that resonates, drawing inspiration from nature and my faith. It is important to me to offer my very best and am always working hard to learn new skills. It's often been said that my art possesses a tattoo-like aesthetic, and am actually learning how to tattoo as a tattoo apprentice at Lady Liberty in Saint Paul Park.

Because of this new journey, I am only accepting four brand identity projects a year. Available prints are in the SHOP!

My story

Creating has always been at the very foundation of my being and I have always known I wanted to be an artist when I grew up…

  • Just as it is with achieving any goal, there is always hardships, resistance, and obstacles. Like many artists out there, becoming the artist I am today took a lot of strength, endurance, surrender, healing, and overcoming. Parts of my story of overcoming include childhood sexual abuse, journeying through foster care to adoption, battling depression and anxiety throughout my youth, and commercial sexual exploitation where I was trafficked. It was at the lowest point of my life in the midst of a suicide attempt, I surrendered my life to Jesus and began my journey of healing and restoration. Now I am walking in the power of His Spirit, living a life of purpose and creativity not JUST to inspire others to experience the same, but truly changing and impacting lives.

  • Now, I am a wife and mama of a beautiful and fiery red-haired, five-year-old. She’s the biggest joy of my life. I absolutely love the outdoors (during the non-winter months of MN) and can be found, as my husband would say, galavanting in the forest alongside my loyal great dane, Atarah. I like to call it hiking. I love traveling, camping, and adventure. There is always room for sushi and/or ice cream.
